A good warm up series for India before the most hyped England series as India defeated Ireland in the 2nd T20 in The Village, Dublin.
India scored 213 in the first innings with loss of 4 wickets.
India got a good early start by K L Rahul who scored quick fire 70 runs of 36 balls. He hit 6 sixes and 3 fours.
Later, Suresh Raina helped to build the innings by scoring 69 runs of 45 balls. Late cameo of Hardik Pandya helped the score to reach 200 mark. He scored 32 runs of 9 balls in which he hit 4 sixes.
Kohli opened the innings but was dismissed early by Chase.
Rohit Sharma who scored 97 in 1st T20 got out for 0 in this match. He was batting in the 4th position as K L Rahul opened the innings with Virat Kohli.
M S Dhoni, Shikhar Dhawan, Bhuvaneswar Kumar and Jasprit Bumrah were rested for 2nd T20.
Umesh Yadav, Dinesh Karthik, K L Rahul and Siddharth Kaul gets the chance to play.
Umesh Yadav gave first blow to Ireland in the 2nd ball of 2nd innings and the remaining job was done by spinners.
Ireland conceded 12 wides which is most by any team surpassing their own record of 11 wides vs the West Indies.
Kevin O’Brien took 3 wickets in his 4 overs but was hammered to lofty 40 runs.
Ireland bowled out on just 70 runs. Umesh got the early blow in first over and took 2 wickets overall.
Chahal and Kuldeep Yadav took 3 wickets each.
Debutant Siddarth Kaul took 1 wicket.
K L Rahul gets the Man of the Match award.
Rohit Sharma gets Batsman of the Series award due to his 97 run knock in 1st T20.
Yuzvendra Chahal got Man of the Series award.
It will be interesting to watch the upcoming India vs England series as both batting and bowling department are in tremendous form and fielding has improved in this match as it was quite sluggish.
